July 28 (Reuters) - Vistaprint N.V. (VPRT.O), a provider of online printing and design services, posted weaker-than-expected quarterly revenue hurt by currency fluctuations and forecast 2011 results well short of the market consensus, sending it shares down 26 percent.

"We currently expect currency exchange rates to negatively impact our reported revenue and earnings growth in 2011, and we are cautious about our near-term outlook," Chief Financial Officer Mike Giannetto said in a statement.

For the fiscal year 2011, the Netherlands-based company expects adjusted profit between $2.09 and $2.24 a share, on revenue of $750 million to $780 million.

Analysts were expecting earnings of $2.36 a share, excluding items, on revenue of $804.3 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S. [ID:nWNAB0534]

Fourth-quarter net income fell 21 percent to $11.7 million, or 26 cents, while revenue grew 22 percent to $164.3 million.

Excluding items the company earned 38 cents a share.

Analysts were expecting adjusted profit of 37 cents a share on revenue of $168.8 million. Shares of company were trading down $13.02 at $37.24 after the bell. They closed at $50.26 Wednesday on Nasdaq. (Reporting by Sayantani Ghosh in Bangalore; Editing by Anthony Kurian)
