I don't remember it, I only remember why Ancor chose not to go into GE. I think it can compete, and one of the compelling factors has been the interop interest in the FC industry. The drive from the storage end doesn't hurt either. Publicizing the current hybrid LANs won't hurt either.

I came across this reference originally posted on MRVC. It describes significant problems with multi-mode fibre optic cable for GE. Anyone know if it also applies to FC?
