I agree as the two docs. I saw on these persons in poverty often make the wrong choices. Examples. Instead of finishing high school a senior girl gets pregnant.. Now she is a single mother caring for a child and no means to earn a living.

Man who lost five jobs none of which were his own fault does not want to leave the area and go to a place where his
skills are employable. And the examples go on.

I don't know, but I have jobs to do up here in Boone around the outside of the house. Stain a deck, cut back some trees.
I expected to have a lot of applicants for this kind of manual labor and in fact in the Spring I did catch a contractor between jobs who put five gallons of cement paint on some
interior basement walls that had not been insulated or
covered with paneling. He charged me $ 180.00 and worked
two full days. THAT was a deal. Not many takers for jobs since.

When I was young I sold newspapers to Reilly Paper Mill
walking my little red wagon a half mile to do so. I
picked violets in the woods, made little bouquets and sold them for pennies( a quarter in those days got an entire yard mowed ) and parked cars for fifty cents a piece in my Grandmother's driveway. I always had a way to make money and
I was not even much older than five.

Oh, after the football games I picked up all empty coke bottles and put them in those yellow crates and carried them back to the refreshment stand. I think I got five cents a crate.

THERE was always a way to make money.

I also see Warfie's position....
