as AI reports, “many Afghanistan analysts believe that the United States has had close political links with the Taleban militia.

We have close political ties to a LOT of unsavory regimes out of protecting our self-interests, as well as influencing events in our favor, if only to thwart one of our rivals trying to influence events to our detriment. That's called diplomacy..

But it doesn't mean we created the Taliban, or that we endorse their Militant Islamic theology.

And from my point of view, I don't care if Brezinski is claiming that Jimmy Carter created the Taliban (which is what is actually being alleged by such a statement.)

THE REALITY is that it doesn't matter WHO created them or their ideology. Playing the "blame game" doesn't solve the problem. In fact, it only deflects from what needs to be done to defeat them.

There are many people who also claim that the US, France, and Britain, or even international Jewry, were responsible for "creating" Hitler. We recently heard Oliver Stone make such a suggestion.

But we all still found ourselves forced to wage a global war against Nazi Ideology and their belief that they had the right to subjugate humanity under their Aryan thumbs.

Ultimately, it didn't matter who created Hitler. What matters is that MANY MILLIONS MORE LIVES WERE LOST BECAUSE PEOPLE OF YOUR ILK were unwilling to confront him before he had accumulated such massive power.

Likewise, this current unwillingness to confront Militant Islam, or more appropriately, to support a cultural "civil war" WITHIN ISLAM to moderate, secularize, and demilitarize it's teachings, is condemning future generations of the world's children (theirs and ours) to "forever war".

And btw, BC.. Apparently some of those leaked US intelligence documents POINT the former head of Pakistan's Intelligence Service (ISI) as a primary supporter of the Taliban.

Now.. if we were supporting the Taliban, why would we be collecting intelligence pointing towards Gul being a major supporter of both the Taliban and who praised it's leader, Mullah Omar?

Btw, isn't this the same Mullah Omar who declared to be the "Caliph" in 1994, swearing that a global Islamic Jihad would come from the Taliban's control over Afghanistan?:

(Btw, look at #14 for your answer to whether the Taliban were supported by the CIA.. ;0)

Btw, are you familiar with Iqbal Latif, who used to be a frequent SI participant? He's FROM Pakistan, so I hold his views with some credibility:
