Eric,
you had better get comfortable with the idea that small modular reactors will drive the nuclear renaissance, necessary to provide the energy required for economic growth and renewal of half century old infrastructure. Just as commercialized WWII military technology drove US economic growth in the 1950's, and spawned the technology sector in the '80's and 90's, commercialization of small modular military nuclear reactors appears to be well on the road to drive the global nuclear renaissance in the next 2-3 decades.
