I'm not talking about the Euro's absolute strength but about the Euro's relative strength vs the still dominating, or actually sole, reserve currency, the US dollar.

While you may well be right on with regard to the EU and thus the Euro situation, compared to the enormous US debt already amassed, while still growing totally out of control, the Euro hardly looks any worse than the US dollar.

When the green back printers next hit full speed to print the US administration out of the debt, then we still have the Euro left as a US dollar alternative.

The wishful thinking dream of many and not just the US administration, to see the Euro eliminated from this position, just wasn't fullfilled.
