Actually, most Americans already HAVE all they need to survive. The typical suburban lawn, ripped up and turned into a garden, will feed the family that lives in the suburban castle. The owner's gun collection will defend him, his tomatoes and potatoes. The family dog will take over alarm duty. The kids will be his Mexican stoop laborers.

"How do 99 percent of americans buy such farms?" They won't....they're trapped....their greed trapped them in unsustainable mcmansion living arrangements 60 miles from work.
