This is the limit of normally quoted screen. Further sizing is usually done by elutriation. Power to get to those sizes depends on thr Bond's work index of the ore. Silicate matter falls into the 18 to 26 range. Beyond certain size ranges the bond index is not operative as the work increases geometrically because of surface tension adherance becoming a large force to overcome to break or separate particles. Thus it is not practical to try to grind particles beyond a certain limit except in the softest of ores, as in talc. --------------------------------------------------------------
