fast track. imp/export, AG and inflation accuracy. sonny, i m not knowledgeable on our imp/export situation. could be complicated. here is my attempt at trying to understand .. i.e. we export lots raw materials (leather & strings) and import final goods (shoes). $$$ wise we exported less and imported more. but what did we really import? shoes? no! we imported cheap labor and thus the productivity. so we have declining inflation as we are able to sell shoes for less $$$$ in this country. What this country is good at is technology, Sw HW (computers) and innovative drugs. Thus u see technnology and drug stocks taking off. by importing shoes we r taking away jobs from hourly workers, thus the importance of GOOD EDUACATION (tell ur grandchildren). Any one who is not educated will be faced with competition from global workers who can afford to work for $1 an hour. DD: i already that DD article from Fool re: Fujitsu. agree w. u there. another thing that concerns me for a long term is cpq/dell... they don not develop innovative technology. Dell is doing great due to great managment and cpq is doing some R&D but any one can start making boxes by buying boards from intel (safety in intel over a long term).
