To BigKNY3, You wrote that VVUS attracts short-term traders and not long-term investors. Being a long term investor, I disagree. It's THIS THREAD that attracts short-term traders. I bought in pre-split at 44, and watched the stock go way down and way up. Most people here seem to think long-term investing is 3 to 6 mo's, everybody gets all excited by Viagra news, or UK releases. I too follow the news, but what is clear to me is...OF couse this stock is going to go down as the oral drugs are released based on peoples PERCEPTION that VVUS will lose market share. For those of us who believe in the vvus products and also believe the release of Viagra will, in the end, mean more patients for VVUS, the true value of this stock will not be realized until at least 6 mos to a year AFTER the release of the oral drugs. Then all the variables will be out in the open, the uncertainty will be over, and VVUS will be able to maintain the PE it deserves. I, for one, think it is foolish to "play" this stock, unless of course, you have a jump on all the news coming out, and have excellent timing. I see at least a year and 1/2 timeline for VVUS. If you really believe the viability of this company, and it's management, then relax, enjoy the rollercoaster. I am actually quite amused at the furious rate of posting of Leo and Brad and others, who apparently seem to think they will affect the price of this stock by their opinions. In the short term VVUS will blow this way, and that based on news. In the end the cold hard numbers will tell the truth. An Investor, Mosko PS - Having been lurking here for quite a while, I just want you all to know I appreciate all your posts, they have been very informative.
