Thanks for sharing your info. You answered a question I have had for a long time. Stock dividend payers are a bit more stable in a downturn then regular growth stocks.

Another question: If a stock goes ex-div on the 11th of the month, if you buy it on the 11th, do you get the dividend, or is there a 3 day ownership rule on the broker books??

In other words, what is the buy/sell window on exdiv date of 11th of Aug?
