George, Associated keeps an estimated 45% of Telligent IPO (Legg)

Teligent will compete directly with Winstar. Alot depends on how fast Teligent ramps up . Lets hope they make mistakes early on that slows them down. Perhaps Mandl will work some of that same magic he used at At&T. Better yet how about simply using the At&T board over at Teligent?

This would assure total dominance for Winstar.

Good Luck,

Kingpin

George,

Associated has a division called Tru Position which is dealing with the location of cellular phones. Teligent is a separate segment of their business. Blankmind posted an article in his post #2088 on this board which helps by describing the different competitors of Winstar. Article does fail to include the BizTel division of Teleport as well as the fiber based clecs etc. Still its a very big pie and you only need a small slice.

Good luck,

Ed
