It's called a "secret ballot" because there is nothing to trace it back to YOU. For YOUR protection. After you register, NONE of your personal information goes on the ballot you mark.

You could trace your registration, and that you showed up at the location where you voted, but YOUR ballot and it's choices is just like millions of others.
