Since Mr. Mitchell made me a lot of money, I ought to remember when he sold out. It may be that Simmons is getting old and silly, or drinking too much, or taking some medication. But some of what is being attributed to him is the result of on-camera or on-tape misstatements, such as saying "barrels" when he means "gallons." The post you instanced was five years ago, and at a time when natural gas was headed towards $12 with no new supplies in sight. The fracking revolution surprised almost everyone.
