Ford did well by replacing the hapless Ford scion with a real CEO, who recognized that F was too big, going in too many directions, owned too many unprofitable foreign makes and was carrying too much debt, BEFORE the Bush Great Recession.

Now, they reap the benefit.

Until we see a recovery, I don't see much profit in even a well run auto company though. People who feel poor don't run out and buy new cars.

Ford was one of the few not to suck from the government tit. I'm happy for them. That's real American industry. The rest of their American peers are walking dead zombies that are costing the taxpayers money.
