In my town, when you're burgled, they won't even send a cop OUT Hmm. Have you considered relocating to a different town? That aside, police efficiency can be over-rated. I lived for several years in a city where the police were super-efficient. Not 1, not 2, not 3, but a whole platoon of cops showed up at my door when I was burgled, armed and very ready, within minutes of my call. They then sent out dogs and actually caught the guy. That was nice. The downside was that the police in this city also had the habit of showing up sometimes when you DIDN'T call.
