What do you mean "untested"? IIRC, that area of Seattle is prime commercial real estate. Lots of retail stores there, including Macy's and Columbia (the outdoor gear store).


No question downtown Seattle retail core is fairly vibrant although its hit on some hard times of late. Nonetheless, its Target's first store in the downtown area.......a store that is more dependent on the people who live in downtown than other department stores. And its not like they are in the habit of putting stores in downtown areas......I think they have two in NYC, one in Chicago and are looking at SF. That's the entire country. So its not your every day investment.

My point: the eoconomy is recovering.
