We've got this stuff called "data", Dave. It proves all your ideologically-driven assertions to be LIES.

Now, if you want to claim that the (R) deficits were caused because they didn't cut spending, or they had a war, or we were attacked - WE DON'T CARE.

Let's see an (R) president actually MAKE ALL THE SPENDING CUTS FIRST, THEN CUT TAXES.

It will NEVER happen.

"There is no bigger idiot posting here than you. Here is the relevant portion of the quote:... if you have less revenues coming into the federal government, and more expenditures, what does that add up to?
Certainly you're gonna dig the hole deeper."

Well, the title of biggest moron belongs to you, mr "gulf businessmen are crying on TV but the oil spill has been exaggerated by the press" ... now to your poster boy for republican morons, cantor, why is there even the entertainment of an "if" in such a certain outcome? Well, the reason is that some of the more prominent economic minds in the nation have totally debunked this fantastic notion of yours and he'd look like a complete fool if he didn't waffle in his answer, which is what he did. I saw the clip...trust me, he waffled.

Now, the IF is quite important. The entire point is that you DO NOT have "less revenue" as a result of tax cuts. Period. It has not happened, does not happen, and history is replete with examples proving that point -- including the JFK cuts, the Reagan Cuts, the Clinton Cuts, and GWB Cuts, and the DISPROVING by the Bush 41 INCREASE (which caused a recession) and the Clinton Increases (which slowed an other decent recovery from a previous recession).

That despite the fact that this fantasy of yours has been so totally lampooned from every corner of the universe, it's becoming a joke...just like you...a joke living in fantasy land. We're living an economic nightmare after 9 years of "tax cuts" and you're still singing the same lame political swindle!!!

Al

"The entire point is that you DO NOT have "less revenue" as a result of tax cuts. "

Nonsense. Argue with people like Greenspan, Bernanke and and other, real economists.
