"Now it's about the ridiculous notion ...

Now we are arguing about which side is more corrupt in their attempts to corrupt representatives. Are you thinking there is an ethical side in such a thing or just a better argument?

Most of the 'notions' discussed on this thread have little merit. The climate for generating real ideas for genuine discussion does not exist. It doesn't exist at the level of political representation either, so we have formed the custom of comforting ourselves with rhetoric and intellectual positioning, even though we have fully accepted things the way they are. In this way, we are escaping the true animus of our circumstance, we are repeating ad nauseam the same expression of suffering which we experience in the presence of one another.

If that were not true we would see everyone doing everything they could to investigate the problems, advance new ideas, create new understandings. Everyone would be listening with intent to forge a positive transformation ... we look to our political leaders for a way out and we get nothing.
