Mohan, you've been away from your thread too long. To all recommended reading Barron's 11/10/97 p30 Martin Barnes of Bank Credit Analyst . One item which is particularly noteworthy is that the rate of growth in EBITDA is less than half the rate of growth of reported earnings. I have read about and seen many examples profit growth which is not sustainable. I would recommend reading the Oct 7,96 issue where Barnes goes into more detail. I am going to find it in my stacks and refresh my memory. I want to discuss this in more detail tomorrow when I have more time. Barnes and others have hit on something very important which Wall St. chooses to ignore because it does not fit in their bullish dreamland. Mike A
