Mohan, you've been away from your thread too long. To all recommended reading Barron's 11/10/97 p30 Martin Barnes of Bank Credit Analyst . One item which is particularly noteworthy is that the rate of growth in EBITDA is less than half the rate of growth of reported earnings. I have read about and seen many examples profit growth which is not sustainable. I would recommend reading the Oct 7,96 issue where Barnes goes into more detail. I am going to find it in my stacks and refresh my memory. I want to discuss this in more detail tomorrow when I have more time. Barnes and others have hit on something very important which Wall St. chooses to ignore because it does not fit in their bullish dreamland. Mike

Mohan and All - Arch Crawford will be on CNBC
.
Monday 10:30am est Nov 11 - today...!
.
Do not get CNBC broadcastes...anyone interested in catching the
show and passing alone the information. He has an interesting angle
on predicating market trends. Also, there has been a second solar flare
over the weekend of similar intensity....that may have some effect
on the markets this week.
Thanks
Chip
