$100K more for a house in Fresno compared to one in Arkansas? That's nuts. Fresno is quite a depressing place. If I had to choose, I'd move to Arkansas, then save up until I could move to someplace nicer.


The $100K difference is between Little Rock and Fresno....anywhere else in ARK, the difference would be much greater. Have you forgotten your summers in MD? Imagine those summers without an ocean nearby.

I really hate to break it to you, but--

There IS no place nicer than Arkansas ;)

And you can live comfortably on 50k or less. But it probably wouldn't be a great career move for you....not too many EEs here...
