Islam has leaders, but it doesn't (esp. for the whole religion, but even for most large sections of it) have a specific hierarchy the way say the Catholic church does. There have been a number of cases of Islamic people speaking against 9/11, or various terrorist groups, even fighting against those terrorist groups (sometimes alongside our armed forces). Leaders? Perhaps not as much, but what qualifies someone as a leader is less clear in this case.

Islam is not just the faith of the terrorist, and of those preaching hatred. Its the faith of the majority of the people that are oppressed and killed by the Islamofacists, and also of the majority of those who are currently fighting against Islamofacists. That includes some Muslims in the US armed forces. (There have been a couple of traitors but they are highly atypical.)
