Company Signs Letter of Intent For Exclusive Distribution Agreements In North America

Tri-Vision Electronics Inc. has awarded exclusive North American distribution rights to its
ViewControl(TM) V-Chip Set-Top Box Decoder line to three leading distributors in the retail
and cable TV industries, President Najmul Siddiqui announced today.

In the interest of establishing a premier distribution network in both Canada and the U.S.,
Tri-Vision has signed Letters of Intent for exclusive territories and markets in this region with:

-- Ingram Entertainment - exclusively targeting retail sales to consumers in the U.S.; -- Telewire
Supply (a division of ANTEC Corporation) - exclusively targeting cable television operators in
the U.S.; and -- Beamscope Canada - exclusively targeting retail sales to consumers in Canada.
Tri-Vision will retain distribution rights to cable television operators in Canada. The product may
be distributed under a different brand name in the U.S. and a further announcement will be
made later regarding the name.

Ingram Entertainment, Inc., a distributor for major Hollywood studios such as Disney, Warner
Bros., Paramount, Universal, Fox, Columbia/Tri-Star and MGM/UA, is headquartered in La
Vergne, Tennessee and operates out of 23 locations in the U.S. The Company is the largest
national distributor of home entertainment products including pre-recorded video cassettes and a
leading national distributor of electronics, video game hardware and software (for Sony, Sega
and Nintendo), DVD hardware and software and multimedia products. The Company services
over 10,000 retail accounts including video and department stores, drug stores, electronic
