I remember some sort of phone tax finally expiring a couple of yrs back. I believe it was originally assessed to pay for some ancient war we were having............possibly Mexican/American? Anyway.........yes.........we have electricity, but I don't spend enough time there to be willing to pay for a phone. If I moved there, I would rather pay for a satellite dish than endure dial up. I went to a meeting a couple of weeks ago in the town, and the folks are starving for broadband.
