Gary: This is a great presentation. During my talk with my ISP yesterday, I observed how high they were on CSCO. The networking gear is very costly. It is not just the price that matters. It is the potential heavy loss of ISP customers due to an equipment faiure that seems to bother ISPs to choose the "best" in the market. The "best" may stem from a mere perception and/or a number of other intangible factors. But, all these factors affect heavily the tangible bottom line of CSCO's competitors. Unfortunately, this trend may continue until products are commoditized when the P/E will be 8-10 like for the disk drive sector, IMO. I have been thinking of buying ASND and feel OK for not having entered yet. Sankar

You can compare the short term perfomance of the Networking stocks if you want to try to convince yourself that things are not really that bad, the fact is ASND is hitting new two year lows regularly and it will continue to do so untill at least Jan 1998, CSCO is just off it all time high. Why buy now? $18 is still over priced. Best wishes
