The federal deficit was about $150 billion in 1988. Obama's deficit today is almost 10X that number. Even adjusting for inflation that is a disaster perpetrated by Obama.

The unemployment rate in January 2009 was 7.6% and by November it had climbed to 10.0% under Obama. In January 1981, when Reagan took office, the unemployment rate was almost identical at 7.5%, and by November of 1981 it had climbed to “only” 8.3%. Private employment actually rose during the first 11 months of Reagan's term by 0.55%, from 74.671 million to 75.084 million. Under Obama’s tenure so far, private payrolls have dropped by 2.95% to 108.495 million from 111.793 million.

Reagan only won 49 states versus Mondale.....just imagine how big a arse whupping it would be if the Gipper could run 2012. Maybe some one will get nominated that will have some of Reagan's qualities and that person hopefully will get a better congress to work with to boot....the country needs that badly.
