I just hope you understand what I'm saying. Marriage by definition is a union between a man and woman... I do understand what you're saying and actually agree with you that marriage is a union between a man and a woman. But, to me, this belongs under the category of religion and not the government. To me, there's a distinction between marriage and partnership. The government can issue a license for the marriage and other "partnerships." we just keep tearing down the basic tenets of our society. Hard to argue that when it's happening right in front of us, but there's not much that society can do to alter the behavior of gay people. They are who they are and they can't change that even if they wanted to. It's semantics. They want it to be called marriage and 7 million people in California say no, call it a partnership.
