I was naive enough at the time to buy into George H.W. Bush's NAFTA pitch! I supported him on that! Little did I know. I feel like an idiot now.


He had the right idea - grow their internal employment so they don't come here by allowing US companies to produce products for sale across the border with low tariffs.

I agree live and learn. I didn't vote for Bush 1 for personal reasons I don't want to get into and I didn't vote for Clinton either. I voted 3rd party libertarian. Like you said, live and learn and if Jeb ever runs, won't ever get my vote period.
