Likewise, controlling/policing the borders is among the "few functions a government ought to do"... except in the US where gun-toting, hispanophobic civilians have taken the patrolling of the US-Mexican border into their own hands --the so-called Minutemen. Someone ought to tell the Minutemen that they're wasting their time...that they'd better move up to the Gulf Coast, roll up their sleeves and help their fellow Southerners clean up the oil spill. Anarchy starts when every Joe-six-pack fancies he's a border cop...
