The PC Week article is certainly very sombering. I have continuously regarded this type of event to be the main, and possibly only, downside risk we face with respect to VLNC. With all those ions wanting badly to get home to the cathode, being held back only by a separator matrix layer a few mils thick, it requires top notch quality control to avoid what ULBI is experiencing. Apparently some of the earlier cells to come off Valence's line 1 also experienced shorting failures. Now if something like this were to happen to Valence after the stock starts its run....well.................

But, as others have stated, Valence has spent a lot of time developing their process, and are probably well ahead of the rest of the pack.
We should be glad that it's taken so long to get to the production phase, as it is because of the thorough testing program that MUST be done. I've accumulated some more this week, but won't be able to lock in my final shares until a few days after the conference call. The shares may be more expensive by then. Well, that's life in the stock market!

Regards to all,

- T -

John (and all) - Valence's mention at AEA of laptop cells sized to fit the CD ROM space (reported to FMK, post #1292) prompted me to dig up your June post:
