HI Glenn,

If past patterns are any indicator,there will be a hard push to remove the higher paid legacy workers through retirement offers.

This will put the medical benefits into the union VEBA and replace the retired worker with a lower cost worker.

To the degree it is accelerated - costs will go down and bitterness minimized.

IF you are a legacy worker - they shouold be given shirts witha big red target on them.

Most of my fellow GMI grads of 1976 have been ushered into a retirement that was most assuredly accelerated as well.

Outsourcing will assure these companies success ,now that the "insane job banks security program has been eliminated".

This was the one key event IMO.
