It's like they've given up caring. Just grab what you can while you can.

Spanish police cleared off a stretch of beach at the Villa Padierna Hotel in Marbella after the Obamas had finished a busy day of sightseeing.

Police used palm trees and police tape to mark off the boundaries of a 100-yard expanse for the American delegation. On either side, onlookers gawked - and police occasionally stopped and searched sun lovers if they strayed too close to the private party.

It is unclear whether the police presence was paid for by Spain - or whether a nasty invoice could be landing in the lap of the American taxpayer.

excursion to Spain will cost American taxpayers over $200,000.

That sounds like a drop in a bucket to the real cost to the tax payers.

I bet that amount won't even cover the jet fuel for getting all the security detail over there.

Michelle Obama must really be 'proud to be an American' now that she is spending our money.

Of course, that little visit with the royalty of Spain will assure that her visit is 'official' and not a vacation.

Why is she the unelected wife of the titular POTUS paying an 'official' visit?

Excellent Spanish Adventure

I am not surprised at the huge response here to this story. I think it will put the top of the coffin of the Dem's hopes in November.
