The people who end up in these types of inspector jobs are the type that flocked to the fascists. Small, bullying, authoritarian.

My wife used to work for the City of Seattle. Occasionally she'd have to deal with her counterparts in Multnomah County (Portland). She told me last night they were all a bunch of yutzes who were so self-important and filled with zeal for regulating things.
