"Context: Lowering low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) is known to reduce
risk of recurrent coronary heart disease in middle-aged men."

Your point is what?

Go back up top where I posted:

"Statins have not been shown to be beneficial either for primary care or for women of any description. They have only been shown to have value for men with active CAD."

One more time--ya gotta read critically. Did you see the word, "recurrent" in the clip you posted? In case it isn't obvious, "recurrant" = "active CAD," not "primary care."

So, your point is what? That lowering LDL for MEN WITH CORONARY HEART DISEASE is effective? Well, duh, yeah. Glad we agree.
