Okay, I just get tired of the bigotry though.

Yes, sometimes there is a bias against the South but it doesn't come from thin air. There are reasons for that bias. The South [exclusive of TX and FLA] has consistently been one of the poorest and least educated regions in this country. No matter how much federal money has been spent for projects like the TVA and how much industry has relocated from the North to the South, those metrics for the most part don't change. Why?

In the meantime, Southern politicians have raised their voices louder and made more demands than politicians from any other region of the country. Many of us believe their influence in the day to day running of this country is greater than the region warrants. Its seems the rest of the country is held hostage to the demands of southerners and how they think this country should work, politically, economically and culturally. Its enough.

And let's not get into the South's defensiveness.......as typlified by your response to my post on the drug, Provenge. I wish southerners would spend less time looking at what the rest of us are doing and more time on improving their states and the lives of the people who live in those states.
