Dan, I prefer to stay away from the out-of-the-money options, but at least you went out to February. But I guess if you are a longer-term bear, this makes sense. I would have gone with 75s and closer in.
I have had much better success staying in the money. I realize, though, that this is a "bet" you are making, and it's appropriately-chosen given that.

I may short CTXS on Monday, but I'm only looking for 60. As Roger has said, there is little support between here and there. I'm not willing to bet on the "down from there" scenario that Roger is painting, though obviously, that's where most of the potential profit lies.

Why would you buy puts on CTXS and hope HYDRA does well at COMDEX...???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????.............CTXS will get paid by MSFT as they sell HYDRA as well as CTXS will sell their addon server pool management software to HYDRA users and licence ICA to interface to the server pool...CTXS has released it version 1.7 software with NEW AND IMPROVED ICA and LOAD BALANCING SERVER POOL MANAGMENT SOFTWARE ALREADY....It's the missing link...that's where they will make substantial future sales in addition to the royalties from HYDRA sold thru MSFT.
