"More demands"? Like what? What southern politicians are telling us what kind of light bulbs we're allowed to use in our house, how many mpg's cars have to get, mandating our gasoline contain ethanol, telling us we have to change the definition of marriage used in western culture for at least 2000 years, what percentage of mortgages have to made to low income borrowers, etc etc etc? Over the years, they have demanded that we be more patriotic, told us who we can marry; that we are not religious enough; that there is not enough XMAS on display: that religious symbols should be displayed in public bldgs; that the races should be kept separate; that there should be little enforcement of gun laws; that we are the world's enforcer; that all Muslims are bad; that we can't criticize our own country; that America never makes mistakes; that Iraq had WMDs etc.
