You might want to do some research on that.

I never paid much attention to the risks of low LDL because it doesn't affect me. My LDL never got down to double digits even on Lipitor, which I had to stop taking when the side effects kicked in and my liver enzymes went bonkers. But I do recall reading that there are some considerable negatives associated with lowering it that far. I seem to recall a correlation with cancer. You might want to check.

As for reversing plaque buildup, I'm pretty sure that's not true. Mainstream thinking, to the best of my knowledge, is that you can't reverse plaque buildup. Those who think it possible to reverse, or even slow down, propose doing it via a direction other than lowering LDL.
