Original Programming Included in PAX NET Launch WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 1997--Paxson Communications Corp. (AMEX:PXN - news; ASE:PAX - news) announced last night that the nation's seventh broadcast television network, PAX NET, will initially air three original programs. Details of the PAX NET programming line-up, revealed last night at the new network's star-studded gala launch celebration, included the network's plans to feature three original programs, including Celebrities And Charities, Live Link, hosted by Dan Stuecher and The Mike Levey Show. PAX NET is scheduled to launch on Aug. 31, 1998. Celebrities And Charities is a weekly program highlighting the favorite cause of each featured celebrity. Each week Celebrities And Charities will document the time and effort put forth by some of the country's most famous movie, television and music stars, as well as athletes and other notables. This show will also showcase each celebrity's favorite charity and highlight the organization's contribution to improving the lives of people. Celebrities And Charities is produced in cooperation with McGee Entertainment Inc. of Los Angeles, and Big Heart Productions of Palm Beach, Fla. Live-Link is a nightly viewer-participation talk show hosted by Dan Stuecher. This show will tackle issues such as: lifestyle and family issues that concern each of us every day. Live-Link will be produced in association with the CNI of Clearwater, Fla. The Mike Levey Show is an entertainment and variety talk-show hosted by the television celebrity Mike Levey. This hour long 'Tonight Show' style program, will be produced in association with National Media Corp. [NYSE:NM - news] of Philadelphia. PAX NET is also planning to air one or more entertainment and variety based programs that will be created, developed and produced by Guthy-Renker Corp. in association with Paxson Television Productions Inc.
