OT rant- Just got off the phone with someone purporting to be from Dow Jones. A month ago they had quoted me a renewal rate of $53 and I said fine. On Saturday did not get my delivery when i called they told me my subscription had expired. I told them about my previous conversation with them and they told me they could renew it but the $53 dollar rate was no longer available and that it was now $99. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he apologized that they were mistaken in quoting me a $53 renewal rate. I told him that in the United States once you quote someone a price and its agreed to that's the end of it. He said he didnt have the authority to make that decision. I asked to speak to his boss. He told me his boss was busy. I left my number and asked for his boss's name. He told me that he could not tell me the name of anyone working there.

It's really pathetic that this is what has become of Dow Jones.
Looks like I will be heading over to my local library to read it going forward.
