You said they were not hiring to PUNISH the Obama administration. That's ridiculous. Not liking Obama's agenda because it will involve higher taxes (and no one knows how much higher) and new mandates and regulations (again which no one really knows the impact of yet) and holding off on hiring because of one is worried about being able to make a profit or being hit with new costs isn't a case of punishing Obama. Its a case of protecting oneself. Example, I've read that some new health regulations will kick in for businesses with X (usually 50) employees. For a business with 40 or so employees, they definitely need to think about holding down their workforce or taking the risk of being hit by some new expensive mandates.
