Snap, Crackle,...no Pop. This won't exactly start a stampede: -------------------------------------------- SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 1997--Alanco Environmental Resources Corp. (NASDAQ:ALAN) Tuesday announced that the five-member slate of nominees proposed by management for the company's board of directors was approved at the annual shareholders meeting in Scottsdale. Alanco's board members are: Harold S. Carpenter, Dennis Schlegel, Edward J. Maley, James T. Hecker and Leiv Lea. Following the shareholders meeting, the board named Maley as chairman, and re-appointed him chief executive officer. The shareholders also confirmed the appointment of Singer, Lewak, Greenbaum & Goldstein LLP as auditors. Alanco's primary businesses are industrial air pollution control technology and food services marketing. In July, Alanco announced an agreement to sell eight of its Charged Dry Sorbent Injection (CDSI) air pollution control systems to Guangzhou Paper Ltd., in Guangzhou Province, China. Guangzhou Paper is China's largest production paper mill and one of China's 500 largest business enterprises. The Guangzhou agreement, scheduled for completion in February, represents the third industrial installation of Alanco's CDSI technology in China. Alanco's Fry Guy Inc.'s Integrated Food Services Marketing Program operates in more than 1,300 Wal-Mart stores nationwide. The company recently announced it has introduced the Fry Guy program to a new venue, motion picture theaters, installing the program in Mann Theaters in metropolitan Denver and Southern California.
