let the Iranians fight their own war....we will just give them the means to do so.

Not very practical.

All Iranians need to know is that the rest of the world will support them if they overthrew the government. They've done it before.

Things are precarious right now inside Iran with a lot of political infighting. The Guards, who have been amassing power for years, now pretty much run the country, but they have to answer to the mullahs and Ahmadinejad. They're not liking this. A-jad has his own problems within the government separate from the all-powerful mullahs who still control the money and people's minds through sharia law.

The regular army is another contender, with loyalty to no one. If there's an uprising and the people turn on the mullahs, they will be on the first plane out of the country. The Guards and the army will then fight for control while those in government will run for cover.

Over 70% of the people in Iran were born after the Revolution, which makes that group 30 and under. They have computers. They like the Western way of life. They like the music. They have parents and grandparents who were Westernized before the Revolution. Most of them hate sharia law. They want to be modern.

I don't think dropping guns is the answer.
