Mary, I agree that if you're running for president your thinking process ought to be engaged and this is yet another proof that McCain was terribly unqualified on intellectual and emotional levels to become president. He's a volatile, emotionally charged, probably PTSD suffering guy without a lot of intellectual horsepower. I'd say, and did say, that he was dangerously unqualified.

The saddest revelation of all, however, is that in the process of running for president and, now, running for reelection to the senate, he's additionally demonstrated that he's ethically unqualified to hold high office. By some measures he's an American hero, using other criteria he's far from it.

Of course he's simply one of many who can't live up to the responsibilities of leadership. Ed
