CPQ announced 8/7 that they were using HP Tachyon fibre channel controller ICs for the next generation storage systems:

techweb.cmp.com

I have seen no subsequent announcements regarding agreements, OEM or otherwise, with FC adapter or hub/switch vendors to support their new FC line. Maybe someone else has?

Amy, I think the Compaq marketing of Fibre Channel means that this technology is ready to blast into the mainstream. This stock at this price may be the opportunity of a lifetime, IMHO. That is why I just purchased more. All we need is patience, and those of us who have continued to hold this stock for the last 1.5 years certainly have that! wj
