For me, the absolute best thing about going with dividend stocks is welcoming the downturns. People don't believe me when I tell them that what my portfolio value is isn't the most important part. It is totally against what they are thinking.

I want the best stocks ( imo ) at the best price. When my portfolio is at a new high, I don't feel I am getting that. ( whether I am or not )

Headlines that used to make me less than happy, now make me think there may be some blue light specials down the road.

Since we have been around the block, we can appreciate the feelings of others when they post that they don't understand why their stock is down even though earnings are up. When it is all about capital gains, wrenching, when a good dividend stock with a great record, opportunity.

What percentage of investors see this mornings headline as a positive?
