I also don't think Howdy Doody will come to life and run as the candidate of the Formerly Wood party. There are dozens of reasons why she shouldn't and wouldn't, and virtually no reasons why she should. And what does her husband's popularity have to do with anything? It's easy to be popular when you aren't in charge of cleaning up a huge mess.
