I do want NYC to do what New Yorkers want .... the majority NOT the liberal-progressive elite who rules.

Uh......most New Yorkers are liberal progressives.

A majority of New Yorkers are against the mosque.

52%. Hardly a significant plurality. Nearly as many are for it.

I've seen higher poll numbers against it .... but 52% is still a majority and nowhere near as many support it.

48% are either for it or undecided:

"Fifty-two percent of the respondents said they did not want the mosque to be built at all, 31 percent are in favor of it, and 17 percent are undecided."

Cordoba is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. It was built by Muslims as the Islamic era peaked in its advancement. It is an era that is considered very progressive and advanced......and one encouraging peace.

No, it regularly raided and exacted forced tribute against neighboring Christian kingdoms and demanded non-Muslims pay a special tax in order to be tolerated.

It was the tenth century, dude. For those days, that was damn tolerant. Don't forget......500 years later, the Christian Spanish Inquisition was to follow.........anything the Muslims did pales by comparison. BTW the Christians didn't ask for a special tax from Muslim, Jews et al........they drove them out of Spain. It was a 'purification' of the population. And lets not even get into the torture and killings.
