I can't believe we're still discussing this. My bad, as they say. I did read a news item that said Michelle and Malia flew back from Spain so that they could attend a BBQ celebration at the White House, which they did. I did a bit of digging, and I see that I was under the misimpression that the BBQ was held on his actual birthday. But no, it was on Sunday. A Belated Birthday BBQ. So either the Obamas really are weird alien creatures who do things no human can understand, or they are adults who realize that given the extremely complicated lives they live, they can't worry about a day here or there, despite the fact that they clearly love one another very much. And now I really am finished with this topic.
