We don't know how to make high blood pressure go away.

My twenty years of high blood pressure went away. I changed my diet and lost weight. Don't know which of those did it or whether it was something else entirely but something "solved the problem."

Lack of insulin in a person with insulin dependent Diabetes, otoh - IS the problem.

I would call a faulty pancreas the problem. Giving insulin is mitigates symptoms without solving the problem. A pancreas transplant or fix would solve the problem. But I won't go to the mat on it... <g>
